Objectives of the PECE Program

The Professional Early Childhood Education (PECE) certificate program aims to produce highly competent, ethical, and future-ready educators through a sustained focus on:

Primary objectives

Primary objectives of the program include:

  • Transforming educators into accomplished, ethical, and reflective practitioners
  • Fine-tuning teaching practices based on contemporary educational needs
  • Embedding effective communication and emotional intelligence skills in early childhood practices
  • Building effective partnerships with key stakeholders, including families, communities, and schools
  • Implementing inclusive, play-based, integrated, thematic, and developmentally appropriate ECE curricula
  • Applying ECE knowledge in real classroom contexts

Eligibility

  • Pre-service: Minimum 12 years of education
  • In-service: Minimum 3 years of teaching experience
