From Pakistan to Africa, Europe, and beyond, the Dawoodi Bohra community delivers healthcare through hospitals, medical camps, elderly support, and Project Rise initiatives — collaborating with local healthcare institutions, and combining compassion with modern care. The Saifee Burhani University (SBU) stands as an integral part of this network, advancing a sustainable approach to healthcare education and practice, dedicated to the betterment of society.
The community has built a substantial repository of healthcare professionals across the globe. The Saifee Burhani Medical Association America (SBMAA) alone brings together approximately 1,000 healthcare professionals across dozens of specialties, serving over 30 congregations in the United States and Canada.
The community-administered Saifee Hospital Tanzania is a modern multi-specialty tertiary care hospital in Dar es Salaam, providing accessible, affordable, and high-quality healthcare. The hospital has a proven record of successful public health initiatives — including a Diabetes Awareness & Prevention Camp and extensive cardiovascular and hypertension awareness drives.
